Using 2Cents
2Cents is a shared expense tracker for couples. To use it, you create an account and either start a household or accept an invite to an existing one. You agree to use it for your own personal finance tracking — not for anything illegal, and not for tracking the finances of people who haven't agreed to share with you.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for what happens on your account. If you think someone else has access, change your password and write to support@get2cents.com immediately.
Your data
The expenses, incomes, budgets, and categories you log in 2Cents belong to you. We store them so the app works. We don't sell them. See the Privacy page for the full story.
Pricing
2Cents is free during early access. When we open paid plans, new couples will pay around LKR 1,000 a month — we'll tell early-access users first, with plenty of notice, and never charge a card we don't have on file. You'll always be able to keep using whatever you signed up under, or cancel.
What we don't promise
2Cents is a tool to help you track your money. We make it as reliable as we can, but the service is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee it's always available, error-free, or that the numbers you enter are right. Always double-check important figures (a partner's salary, a big rent transfer) against your bank statements.
Limits of our liability
We're a small Sri Lankan team. We're not your accountant, tax adviser, or financial planner. We aren't liable for financial decisions you make based on what 2Cents shows you. If something goes wrong with the app — write to us, we'll do our best to make it right.
Ending the relationship
You can leave at any time — export your CSV from Settings, then email hi@get2cents.com to delete your account. We'll only suspend or close your account if you do something seriously wrong (illegal activity, abuse of another user) and we'll tell you why if we do.
Changes
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll email you before the change takes effect.
Governing law
