Is this only for Sri Lankans?
Built in Colombo, designed for Sri Lankan couples first. It works fine anywhere in the world — currency is LKR for now, but the rest of the app is universal. Multi-currency is on the roadmap.
Is my data really private?
Yes. Your transactions are encrypted in transit and at rest. We don't sell data — we have no advertisers — and we never have. Only you and your partner can see your household's ledger.
What if my partner doesn't have an iPhone?
Doesn't matter. 2Cents runs on iOS, Android, and any modern browser — one of you on a Pixel, the other on an iPhone, both seeing the same ledger.
Can I export my data?
Yes — a full CSV export is always available from Settings, no questions asked. Your data is portable.
How do I invite my partner?
After you sign up, head to your household settings and send them an invite by email. They click the link, set a password, and you're both in the same shared ledger.
What categories does 2Cents come with?
Twenty-seven sensible defaults — Food, Transport, Groceries, Housing, Utilities, Health, and so on — grouped by daily essentials, home, lifestyle, health, family, money, and travel. You pick which ones you actually use during onboarding, and you can add your own custom categories later.
Does 2Cents work offline?
Not yet. 2Cents needs an internet connection so both partners see the same ledger in real time. Offline editing with later sync is on the roadmap.
Will 2Cents stay free?
It's free during early access. When 2Cents opens to everyone, new couples will pay around LKR 1,000 a month. Early-access users hear from us first, with plenty of notice — no surprise bills.
Can I track investments and loans in 2Cents?
Not in v1. The focus right now is expenses, income, budgets, and recurring transactions — the daily money habit. Investment tracking, credit card payoff planning, and lent/borrowed money are on the roadmap for the next paid tier.
Can I use 2Cents on my computer?
Yes — 2Cents is a web app, so it works on any modern browser on your phone, tablet, or laptop. We're working on dedicated iOS and Android apps too.
Where is my data stored?
On Supabase servers in Mumbai (ap-south-1). Row-level security policies make sure only you and your partner can see your household's ledger — even the engineers can't browse it.
What if my partner and I break up?
You can leave a household at any time. Your historical expenses stay with the household; we'll add a clean way to export your share before you go. If you'd like help with this today, write to us and we'll sort it.
How do I delete my account?
Email hi@get2cents.com from the address on your account. We'll permanently delete your profile and remove you from any households within seven days.
